Facial Reflex-Therapy

The human face has more than 500 points interconnected with the whole body.

Sorensensistem TM Facial Reflexology, a therapy introduced by Lone Sorensen and that has been practiced extensively in Spain for some years now, allows practitioners to reflex these points, affecting the entire central nervous system.

Lone Sorensen has developed facial Reflexology Therapy since 1978.

The method can be defined as manual stimulation of nerve reflex areas and points on the face and scalp. These areas and points trigger different actions in the nervous system, causing positive and normalizing effects on the entire body's function.

Facial Reflexology Therapy combines 7 steps that make up the base treatment and 8 additional techniques that can be combined as needed to address the health condition at hand.

The method's roots date back many centuries, as it is based on various indigenous traditions and practices. Facial Reflexology Therapy stems from both ancient and modern therapies, and with the addition of human anatomy and physiology knowledge, it has the potential to balance the individual on all levels - including physically, psychologically, and energetically.

Facial Reflexology Therapy Sorensensistem™ combines Oriental meridian theory, Vietnamese and South American microsystem maps, and modern neuroscience. The method enables those with the right training to identify imbalances in the client’s body functions and with the knowledge and manual skills to set on a healing process.

The method Lone Sorensen use are based on different Micro systems with scientific research behind; Dr Yamamoto (YNSA), Japan. Dr Castillo Morales, Argentina. Dr Wong, USA. Dr Chau, Vietnam, Maria Perez, Argentina, Dr. J. Bossy, France.

The methods that are being used at the moment have passed through long and exhaustive research and through a combined methodology of oriental medicine, the primitive techniques of the South American Indians plus modern research in neuro-anatomy. It can be said that Facial Reflexology is a combination of zone therapy and cutting-edge worldwide reflexology research, through neurological observations. Zone therapy is a method of zone stimulation of areas that are present in maps, impacting certain parts of the body: Feet, Hand and Face. Through this manual stimulation it is possible to send impulses via the central nervous system to these organs, increasing blood circulation, balancing the body’s physiological chemistry and positively revitalizing the emotional state — truly a holistic stimulus for the entire body.

Facial ReflexTherapy

Facial Reflexology is the integration of the whole body through the connection between the central nervous system and the meridians, canalizing the electrical/energetic flow.

If we consider our skin as a messenger which connects the outside world with the brain, it is certainly no surprise the positive effect that facial reflexology has on our mind, body, spirit and emotions.
